Core Activities
1. Organize capacity-building workshops and training sessions for women and youth in the area of natural resource management and climate resilience.
2. Conduct public awareness campaigns and engagement of stakeholders on gender equality and climate responsive actions.
3. Leverage the existing multi-stakeholder platforms/networks (physical and digital) to share knowledge and evidence-based information about the effects of climate change on women and men.
4. Partner with other stakeholder organizations (state and non-state) to promote gender equality and women’s role in the sustainable management of natural resource and resilience to climate change effects.
5. Conduct climate risk assessments and vulnerability mapping in areas affected to identify youth women’s specific needs and challenges.
6. Conduct advocacy and lobbying activities aimed at increasing public and private sector investment in natural resources, climate resilience projects that consider gender equality and social inclusion.
7. Develop and implement training programs for women on disaster risk reduction and management, including early warning systems, emergency response, and post-disaster recovery.
8. Advocate for the inclusion of women and PWDs in disaster risk reduction and management decision-making processes at all levels.
9. Collaborate with state and non-state research organizations to ensure that localization of climate projection is factored into disaster and early warning information.
10. Collaborate with public and private organizations to ensure that social and environmental safeguards are mainstreamed into the ongoing water and climate investment projects.
11. Promote green mining and eco-friendly agricultural activities within the framework of national green growth strategy.
