Background

Women for Water and Climate Change Network (WWCCN) is a local Rwandan Non-Governmental Organization with legal personality granted by Rwanda Governance Board (RGB). It has been created to empower, advocate and promote women’s leadership for environmental conservation, transboundary cooperation for sustainable water management and climate resilience actions. WWCCN has a well-structured Governance and staffing setup.

Women for Water and Climate Cooperation Network (WWCCN) is a non-governmental organization created with the aim of empowering women in the water and climate sectors by promoting gender equality and sustainable resource management. To achieve this noble goal, WWCCN offers capacity building workshops, run awareness raising campaigns, and create networks for women leaders. Collaborating with various partners, WWCCN focuses on gender-inclusive climate actions and advocate for cooperation and investment promotion that prioritize gender equality.

To be a worldwide organization that promotes inclusive and integrated policy and decision-making processes related to environmental protection, sustainable natural resources management and climate resilience.

2. MISSION

To empower women and youth to play their catalytic role in promoting national and transboundary water and natural resources management through climate resilience and socio- economic transformation agenda at all levels.
