Verdiane Nyiramana – Chairperson   

    Verdiane is the Founder and Chairperson of Women in Water and Climate Cooperation Network, currently the country focal point for the Global Network of Civil Society Organizations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR) in Rwanda. Moreover, Verdiane serves as the Chairperson of the Executive Board of the Nile Basin Discourse Network. Her work focuses on building community resilience to climate change, strengthening civil society participation in national development and planning processes, and promoting sustainable peace.

    Rose Niyonkuru – Vice Chair

      Rose is an engineer with over 9 years of experience in teaching, research, and technology transfer in the fields of Irrigation and Drainage, Soil conservation Engineering, Hydrology, and Watershed Management. She is currently an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Rwanda and is pursuing her PhD in Agricultural Engineering at the University of Rwanda. In addition to her academic work, Rose is the Vice Chair of the National Basin Discourse Forum, the Vice Chair of the Women for Water and Climate Change Network, and the Secretary of the Regional Nile Basin Discourse Forum, demonstrating her commitment to advancing water management and climate action on both national and regional scales.

      Diane Uwamariya – Executive Director of WWCCN

      Diane is a passionate advocate for girls’ and women’s rights with over five years of experience. As ED of WWCCN, she leads efforts to integrate gender equality into organizational decision-making and ensures project implementation aligns with the organization’s vision. Diane has a proven track record of enhancing organizational capacity and driving sustainable growth. She is dedicated to forging multi-sector partnerships that advance the nexus of water, gender equality, and climate action.
