WWCCN’s core activities include but not limited to the following:
- Organize capacity-building workshops and training sessions for women and youth in the area of natural resource management and climate resilience;
- Conduct public awareness campaigns and engagement of stakeholders on gender equality and climate responsive actions;
- Leverage the existing multistakeholder platforms/networks (physical and digital) to share knowledge and evidence-based information about the effects of climate change on women and men.
- Partner with other stakeholder organizations (state and non-state) to promote gender equality and women’s role in the sustainable management of natural resource and resilience to climate change effects;
- Conduct climate risk assessments and vulnerability mapping in areas affected to identify youth women’s specific needs and challenges;
- Conduct advocacy and lobbying activities aimed at increasing public and private sector investment in natural resources, climate resilience projects that consider gender equality and social inclusion;
- Develop and implement training programs for women on disaster risk reduction and management, including early warning systems, emergency response, and post-disaster recovery;
- Advocate for the inclusion of women and PWDs in disaster risk reduction and management decision-making processes at all levels;
- Collaborate with state and non-state research organizations to ensure that localization of climate projection is factored into disaster and early warning information;
- Collaborate with public and private organizations to ensure that social and environmental safeguards are mainstreamed into the ongoing water and climate investment projects.
- Promote green mining and eco-friendly agricultural activities within the framework of national green growth strategy
