On June 26–27, 2025, the Women for Water and Climate Cooperation Network (WWCCN) participated in the 11th Annual Economic Research Conference, organized by the Economic Policy Research Network (EPRN) under the theme: “Policies to Stimulate Rwanda’s Development Agenda: Best Practices, Challenges, and Opportunities.” The conference emphasized a collective commitment to bridging the gap between research and effective policy formulation.
The WWCCN Executive Director advocated for a transformative approach to gender inclusion, calling for gender to be prioritized at the beginning of national and international conferences, rather than as an afterthought on the final day. She also highlighted the need to include Rwandan universities to present their research in such platforms, and to inspire youth engagement in research and green finance as a pathway to addressing persistent challenges in the climate sector and advancing sustainable development.
